Description
This route crosses western Amorgos, linking Kato Meria to Katapola. Starting from the archaeological site of Minoa, the trail follows the coast past the bays of Tyrokomos and Finikies, through the hamlets of Agios Ioannis and Agia Thekla in the Lefkes area.
From Agia Thekla, a paved path descends to Agioi Saranda, then winds toward Dokathimata, site of a Protocycladic necropolis. The path crosses a pass and descends to Syvrysa’s terraced landscape, heading for the coastal acropolis of ancient Arkesini, then through the villages of Vroutsis and Rachoula, ending near the Hellenistic tower of Agia Triada (late 4th century BC).
